A bacterial protein called botulinum toxin (BOTOX) prevents nerve signals from reaching muscles. Therefore the muscle cannot contract without the signal. This helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines. It is also used to get rid of forehead creases, crow’s feet, frown lines, lip lines, and bunny lines. It helps diminish neck bands, enhance chin dimples, elevate the corners of the lips, and correct gummy smiles.

What to Expect During a BOTOX or Dysport Treatment

We suggest you start with a consultation to determine what’s best for your skin and for us to clearly understand your goals and expectations. During the consultation, we will discuss the ideal treatment before getting started.

Your first appointment may take longer than subsequent visits. We can answer any additional questions you may have and walk you through every step of the process.

At each appointment, you will receive a series of several small injections in different areas. We discuss this prior to the treatment. A micro-needle is used for the injections, however, most people feel very little during the process. We do offer a topical numbing cream prior to injection if you’d like us to use it. Immediately following the injection, we apply ice when needed and light pressure to the injection site(s) to discourage swelling.

Following your appointment, there is no recovery process. You are able to go on with your day. We recommend to avoid laying for for 4 hours following your visit and avoid engaging in strenuous exercise for 24 hours. To help the longevity of your treatment and keep your skin looking youthful, we encourage the use of our Signature Products as your post-procedure protocol.
