Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found throughout the body, with particularly high concentrations in the skin, joints, and eyes. In dermal fillers, hyaluronic acid restores volume, attracts and binds water, and provides structural support, helping smooth wrinkles and enhance facial contours while maintaining a natural appearance.
As we age, natural changes occur in the skin, fat, muscle, ligaments, and facial bone. These changes contribute to volume loss, skin laxity, and the developement of folds and wrinkles.
Results are visible immediately after treatment, although mild swelling may temporarily affect the final appearance. Final results are typically seen after one to two weeks.

What to Expect During Treatment
Your visit begins with a personalized consultation to dicuss your goals, evaluate your facial anatomy, review yourmedical history, and determine whether hyaluronic acid filler are right for you.
Before treatment, the skin is cleansed and treatment areas are carefully assessed and marked when appropriate. Many fillers contain lidocaine to improve comfort, and topical numbing cream may be used for sensitive areas.
Most treatments take 60 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated.
After treatment, mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising is common and usually resolves withing several days. Most patients return to normal daily activities immediately, although strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and alcohol are generally avoided for the first 24 -48 hours.
Every Consultation is individualized to your facial anatomy, aesthetic goals, and long-term treatment plan. We believe natural looking results begin with thoughtful assessment and patient educations.
What are hyaluronic acid fillers?
Hyaluronic acid fillers are injectable gels made from a substance naturally found in the body. They restore lost volume, soften facial folds, enhance contours, and provide structural support while attracting water to help maintain hydration.
How long do they last?
Longevity depends on the product used, the treatment area, and individual metabolism. Most hyaluronic acid fillers last 6-18 months, although some products used in the cheeks and jawline may last longer.
What areas can you treat?
Dermal fillers may be used to enhance or restore:
- Lips
- Cheeks
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
- Chin
- Jaw line
- Under-eye hollows (select patients)
- Certain depressed acne scars
- Temples
Are fillers better than Dysport?
Neither treatments is better- they treat different concerns.
Dysport relaxes facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, such as frown lines and crow’s feet.
Hyaluronic acid fillers restore lost volume, enhance facial contours, and soften deeper folds.
Many patients achieve the best results by combining both treatments as part of a comprehensive facial rejuvenation plan.
Can fillers be dissolved?
Yes. Most Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if medically necessary or if a patient wishes to reverse the treatment.
This is on advantage of hyaluronic acid fillers compared with many other injectable treatments.
Who is a good candidate?
Healthy adults who wish to restore facial volume, improve facial balance, or soften wrinkles may be good candidates. A consultation with your provider will determine the safest and most appropriate treatment plan.
